The Republican candidate repeated false claims that the Biden administration was diverting relief funds from Hurricane Helene, which recently battered the state, to help migrants. Ms Harris vowed to protect abortion rights and bring down the cost of living. She also stopped in New York to make a surprise appearance on “Saturday Night Live”, a sketch-comedy show.
